I honestly think this is why I find myself getting back in to WoW.
I played Avowed recently (GamePass) and that got me feeling nostalgic for it. I really liked Avowed. It reminded me of WoW (just the RPG elements, not the MMO elements) mixed with Fable.
Part of it is because I’d been out of it for so long and there’s sooo much content to explore. And that they’ve made it so much more accessible to casuals. And the quests don’t feel as repetitive as they used to.
But “here’s a specific thing you need to do, go do it” combined with the occasional dopamine hit of getting a rare/epic drop, or a randomized rare upgrade, or levelling up…man that hits the spot.
