Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced an agreement to build a Qatari Emiri Air Force facility at a U.S. Air Force Base in Idaho.
I love the amount of shit that is being lost here on both sides with this.
In 2017 Trump sold a bunch of F-15s to Qatar with an agreement to train pilots here in the US. In 2022 Biden sold Qatar a bunch of drones with the agreement to train pilots here in the US. There are a few reasons this makes sense, the topography around the airbase, the size of Qatar, the F-15 squadrons already in Mountain Home and their training infrastructure, the fact that Singapore has been training there since 2008, and some other shit.
Qatar isn’t building an airbase, they are building a facility on an existing USAF airbase. A facility could be a small building or it could be a few buildings. We don’t know and until we do I don’t see why everyone is so riled up about a 3 and 8-year-old deal to train F-15 pilots.
Seriously, what’s the deal? Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there was probably some Quid Pro Quo especially knowing how much Donny loves to “renegotiate” deals and how he got that fancy plane from them but seriously what the fuck?
If I have the facts wrong school me, otherwise let’s focus on the real shit.
Seriously?
Do any other countries have air bases in the US?
It’s not that the Qatar will have their own “base”, just that they can do training/exercises at a USAF base. They’re building an area for them, on the USAF base. Now, I’m not saying I agree with this, but this is something that the USAF has done with other countries for a long time. A buddy of mine learned a bit of Dutch from his time on a USAF base, cause some Dutch military trained in his base. Most notably, there’s Singaporean military on this same base that they’re expanding for Qatar.
At the end of the day, these decisions should not be made lightly. As the ramifications of such decisions, could be catastrophic to the american people. From the top of my head we have, Singapore, Germany, Netherlands, and the UK training on US soil. These are countries that I would classify as, chill folks. Qatar is not one of those. I view it as a security risk, that could result in the death of many people. Call your reps and sens, this is your taxpayer money at work.
I’ve met some from Canada as well
I’m not saying in good with this, but the US has military bases everywhere.
I’m asking about the other way around. How many non-US bases are in the US already?
Simply put, if a person is voting specifically with the interests of the united states and not other countries in mind, those are arguably beneficial to us, whether or not they’ve caused issues for other countries (they have), just as this is not beneficial and indeed possibly actively harmful to the states
True, but they were built under the pretence of protecting those nations from the Soviets during the cold war.
Zero as far as I’m aware. There are iirc two joint air bases.
Fuck no. We have had them come here on a routine basis. Worked with multiple nations that we host, but never gave them their own facility. This shit is treason.
Why does Qatar need a military base in the US? Are they attacking/defending the US? Canada? Mexico?
Qatari United Emiri Air Force - or QUEAF for short.
Maybe we should call this new pact the Trans-World Action Team

That’s to help the traitor trump attack american citys and pockets of the military that dare stand against him and his tiny tiny tiny penis/hands
