Oklahoma’s new public schools superintendent announced Wednesday he is rescinding a mandate from his predecessor that forced schools to place Bibles in classrooms and incorporate the book into lesson plans for students.

TL;DR: piece-of-shit Evangelical anti-woke superintendent who was busted watching porn in his office on a conference call resigned last month.

New Superintendent: Yeah nah we’re not gonna do the bible thing.

    It’s a good thing that people who are both evil and capable are so rare. The situation in the US would be so much worse if those fascist fundamentalists were more capable.

      The evil and capable ones tend to be the wealthy behind the scenes guys who know better than to have their name and image associated publicly with the kind of heinous policies they want to implement. They pay for the evil incompetent guys to be the face and take the heat.

      I think it’s because evil is stupid. Like, it’s a net negative policy. And often predicated on falsehoods (eg: belief that race works like old DND)
