Oklahoma’s new public schools superintendent announced Wednesday he is rescinding a mandate from his predecessor that forced schools to place Bibles in classrooms and incorporate the book into lesson plans for students.

TL;DR: piece-of-shit Evangelical anti-woke superintendent who was busted watching porn in his office on a conference call resigned last month.

New Superintendent: Yeah nah we’re not gonna do the bible thing.

    I thought the porn thing was a nothing burger of a streaming service displaying questionable content on a TV in one of the offices. Or am I confusing my porn scandals?

      I mean - that may have been a spin they used but. The TV just happened to be naked hoochies boinking seems unlikely.

        I looked up the story. Obviously, we can cast doubt on an Oklahoma prosecutor’s objectivity and the possibility that office is in on a cover-up, but lacking other evidence I would say this is really nothing.

        The most you can really make of it is that the old superintendent didn’t handle it well and apologize to the board for what they witnessed. That seems in line with him being a total asshole. But was he watching Jackie Chan porn in his office while on a video conference? Very unlikely.

          Here’s the quote from Becky Carson, one board member who saw it:

          I was like, “What am I seeing?” I kind of was in shock, honestly. I started to question whether I was actually seeing what I was seeing. I was like, “Is that woman naked?” And then I was like, “No, she’s got a body suit on.” And it happened very quickly, I was like, “That is not a body suit.” And I hate to even use these terms, but I said, “Those are her nipples.” And then I was looking closer, and I got a full-body view, and I was like, “That is pubic hair.” Even right now, I couldn’t even tell you what I was watching.

          Pubic hair? She can’t determine a flash of buns from that?

          I’m just saying, they had to ask him to turn off his movie with full frontal nudity during the meeting. And he could have immediately said “it wad this movie, this scene” when it blew up. But this story about being a Jackie Chan movie was fabricated by like-minded cops who were ordered to investigate. Which took weeks. And two months later he’s gone. Absorbed into a right-wing boondoggle to harass teachers nationally.

      But the thing I believe got him fired was how unapologetic he was about it, claiming he’s the victim of some leftist plot, he’s the best senator ever and nothing like that happened when it clearly did.
