Apparently they’re scrambling in the wild house, meeting with lauren bobert in the situation room etc.
I think it just has become far more likely that trump himself had Epstein killed…
He won’t “fall” until his supporters stop supporting him.
To be clear, his supporters voted for him in 2024 even though he was already a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and insurrectionist.
They will not care if they find out he fucked children.
Here is their response:
But Biden …(insert dumbest conspiracy you’ve ever heard)
But Biden fucked children in the basement of that pizza place that didn’t have a basement
Biden did a lot of things worth criticising , it’s wild u.s. patriots latch onto like, biting a babies leg on halloween
Much more likely Republicans will legalize child sex.
Democrats will say they’re going to try to block it but cave in the end
It beats the mines.
If you’re old enough to remember the panama papers and how less than a handful of wrong doers had to face their consequences, you can basically expcet a rerun. The entire ruling class is a criminal enterprise.
NOBODY is gonna punish trump for you except yourselves.
I am no US-american, but I agree
Trump might not ‘fall’, but Reagan’s myth of America being that ‘shining city on a hill’ has fallen in its place. It has absolutely been exposed as complete bullshit. The same is true with regard to the likes of Musk Bezos Zuckerberg Wall Street et al, remaining at large and thriving but at the expense of a belief in capitalism.
It is hard to overcome childhood programming so it takes a while for citizens to realise. I spent a couple of months in Russia quite a while ago. I remember being told “We know our society is corrupt, you don’t know yours is.” The person that told me that was right.
I’m a Brit, the same thing has and is happening here in more or less the same way and starting at a similar time: with Thatcher’s 80’s policies that amounted to the last looting of empire, looting the remaining profitable bits of the British state itself on behalf of capital. American capital did the same thing but on a much steeper curve. We obviously display various cultural differences in response to this economic/political policy.
We even have completely credible evidence of a paedophile ring based in Westminster in the 80s that has been thoroughly brushed under the carpet. Not one mp went to Grenfell when that tower burned and children died due to avoidable issues, but they all trouped out to mourn when big ben had to be covered up for a bit due to refurbishment.
Add the abject failure of fossil-fuel-powered-[neo-liberal]-capitalism to deal with what could easily become the existential threat of climate change, and things get pretty depressing. I’m not sure when or where (as a species) we managed a fair and equitable society post-agriculture and writing. Maybe Aboriginals, or South Sea Islanders, or some of tribal Africa somewhere.
From what I’ve heard from folks outside the US, we’re way past the point of not being the shinning city on the hill. The only thing I see is that if and when the emails come out to public, the US will be so marginalized by the rest of the world that doing business with them will almost be the equivalent as doing business with North Korea (not counting trade embargos), that people will not really care as much anymore. And even if you where in the US you’d be more interested in just surviving the day than caring about the already known pedo in chief running the whitehouse will all his clouns and billionaires. The only thing that could give me joy is that if thefiles come out, the rest of the world powers could make trade embargos with the US and any billionaire that has financial or political ties with the US (specially including tech companies) so those billionaires would either jump ship and line up with the tax laws of the rest of the world or sink with the rest of the us economy.
Heavy rant over
Wow you really were gonna get that out regardless of the post topic, weren’t you?
Let them cook
It was a perfectly reasonable response.
Maybe you haven’t noticed, but when a person does not like facts that match the reality they have (co-)constructed they must reject the fact. When they can’t do that they seek to diminish the fact by attacking the messenger.
This is what you have done here. It is boring and predictable.
It’s it now?
Can you honestly even claim you answered the question? You didn’t even do a complete sentence on the topic before shifting into a diatribe against capitalism.
absolutely not. it can’t be used in any type of court for anything in particular. nobody’s going to go after him for anything in there.
it’s just optics. and how much worse could the guy’s optics possibly be? what difference does it make?
If he somehow does start getting held accountable for this, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries will twist themselves into pretzels to somehow throw him a lifeline. And it wouldn’t even make me assume Schumer or Jeffries are in the Epstein files, I think they’re just so cowardly and worthless they’d help Trump without getting anything out of it.
not a chance in hell
TLDR: No.
Looking at conservative responses online, in the news, and from real people, they don’t seem to care about these emails. I’ve seen explanations that Democrats selectively blacked out names and words to make Trump look bad, that the emails are entirely faked, or that the emails actually are good for Trump because they prove that he was only aware of Epstein’s crimes but didn’t partake in them. This last explanation usually includes talk about how Trump was an undercover operative that brought down Epstein (but he doesn’t want to brag about it for some unknown reason) or that he obviously couldn’t report his suspicions of crime occurring since he didn’t have hard proof (you can definitely report crimes without giving evidence).
I think if an email was released that explicitly said Trump committed crimes, they would say the email was a fake that was planted by Democrats during Biden’s term. If photos or videos of the crimes were released, they would say they are AI generated. If Trump himself said he did it, they would say that it wasn’t actually that bad because of some reason or another. Idk what the specific excuses would be, but I know that a lot of Trump supporters would buy them while simultaneously believing the evidence when it pertains to people who are not Trump. I think there may even be many that know the excuses are lies, but they refuse to turn on Trump because it means they would have to accept that they spent the past decade publicly supporting a bad person.
Don’t get me wrong, there will definitely be conservatives that break from Trump with each new scandal that comes, but what are they actually able to do about it? Trump runs the organizations that would be in charge of investigating him, so it is unlikely that any legal action would happen unless he is impeached. Republicans could call their representatives and say they will vote them out of office if they don’t impeach Trump. The representatives likely will not listen because they know that at this point, Republican voters will never vote for a Democrat.
I think it is possible (but unlikely) that Trump could lose much of his base’s support, but I personally don’t think there will ever be a grand fall from power or punishment for misdeeds. I’d love to be proven wrong, but I think the best we might get is that a decade after Trump has died, some conservatives will feel comfortable enough to say that he may have done some bad things.
lol no
Someone will take a fall.
The operation will be largely unaffected.
Nope.
I’m still skeptical that Epstein died at all! More likely they killed some guy who looked like him and let Mossad spirit the real Epstein away to Tel Aviv, where he’s living under a new identity on the beach with all the children he can r*pe.
As for Trump, no. Come on. The only way ANY of the corruption ends is with a general strike and the overthrow of the state - plus, with any luck, capitalism itself.
#GeneralStrike
RIP Anthony Bourdain
No
Only if it kills him.
i don’t want the POS dead until he’s in a prison cell. he has to KNOW he lost.
The question was if we think he will fall, not what we want to happen.
