Like, would a skyscraper-style datacenter be practical? Or is just a matter of big, flat buildings being cheaper?

If the costs of engineering a tower is more than just buying more land, then why build taller? It could also be local ordinances. Maybe they can’t get permission to build higher than 2 or 3 stories.
