Vice President Vance on Thursday pushed back on a federal court ruling…arguing the court should not be telling the president how to spend money during a government shutdown.

That’s funny. According to the Constitution, the president has no authority to decide “how to spend money during a government shutdown”. That’s Congress’s job. And they’ve already set aside money for this purpose. Trump is just refusing to do his job and execute the law, as directed by Congress and affirmed by the judiciary.

    This is fucking treason.

I got my SNAP today at about 4pm pst. I have a career and work full time, but I absolutely rely on the help because I’m a single father.

As a taxpayer, let me just say: I’m very happy you are able to get that funding for food! It is possibly the best use of our tax money to make those of us going through hard times able to get basic nutrition. Feel zero shame for using SNAP. Today its you that has the need. Tomorrow it could be me. We’re in this together. I hope your future gets better and you won’t need SNAP, but until then, please know that every penny you get for SNAP I’m happy that I had even a tiny part in helping you. Be safe, friend.

The government is expected to do its job and take care of its citizens? Outrageous! Use emergency funds in place SPECIFICALLY FOR THE CURRENT SITUATION? OUTRAGEOUS!

It is absurd that the court expects the government to feed hungry people instead of using their hunger as leverage to take away their healthcare

    Evil.
