It just occurred to me that Pathfinder is to D&D what Linux is to Windows. More technically complex, less moral baggage, less mainstream and its fans won’t shut up about it.
Would you believe me if I said I didn’t check your comment history before posting that? I just assumed that a programmer who plays Pathfinder also uses Linux.
And Wizards of the Coast (since bought by Hasbro) are like Microsoft, trying to control the platform as closely as possible, trying to define how people use their platform
I can feel the blank stare that this correction would instill in the vast majority of people. To normies it’s like saying you eat fruit rounds instead of fruit loops.
From our session 0, character creation is really neat. Everything is very modular and flavorful. I went in with a few choices for systems depending on how people wanted to approach the campaign and we chose Draw Steel because the group is made up of people who enjoy crunchy combat. I’ll try and remember to follow up after I’ve run a session
Pwech. I don’t play D&D!
I play Pathfinder…

What a fitting anology! I’m going to start saying “I play Pathfinder BTW” at the end of every TTRPG comment now, I love it hahahahaha.

In our defense it’s a pain to get people to try it.
Just like Linux.
and pathfinder is way more open (AoN), just like linux

If you understand why it is corrected you are a geek.
Oh 100% I’m DMing Draw Steel tomorrow night
Hell yeah sibling, id also be interested in hearing how that goes. I’ve been wanting to run DS since it came out but you know how long campaigns go
I haven’t heard terribly many people talk about draw steel, honestly. I’d be interested to hear what you think about it after trying it out.
