The Kennedy Center is a tribute to Kennedy in the same as the Lincoln Memorial or the Washington Monument. Making it the Trump-Lincoln Memorial or the Trump-Washington Monument would be a ludicrous idea, so why is making it the Trump-Kennedy Center acceptable?
There’s even a difference between someone paying to have their name on a new building and someone renaming something that already exists though.
Same in sports where a stadium has always been known by a name then it changes for sponsorship reason, it just doesn’t feel right.

Nobody thinks that the renaming to Trump-Kennedy Centre is acceptable. Hence many of the acts booked in have cancelled upcoming shows.
