These relics think the entire reason they loss was because of the bullshit immigrant propaganda pushed by the MAGAt right. So they think their path to success will be showing those MAGAts that they too are hard on immigrants, not even noticing the baby being washed out with the bathwater.
Trying to be more rightwing to get more voters never worked: the right demonized the Democrats, so they will never vote for them, while going even more to the right alienates the left.
But they will try anyway because going left would alienate their sponsors and doing nothing results in loss.
