Would anyone be interested in a podcast where I fumble through a software install, via the docs, and have the developer on a call or in chat walking us all through the process? I have done live installs a few times with developers who seem to LOVE having someone QA live their software, show off their software, get feed back, and it’s always and ACTIVE chat.
An example of what I did yesterday and how this would work: https://tubefree.org/w/7dWK9RQqdkFq5bfzMP2FAi
I run Fireside Fedi and I love talking with people, showing off code, learning something new. We could all learn something together!
Heck yeah! Having the dev on call could be funny.
Yeah, could be fun, edutainment, plus get to know people, learn about new projects.
Yes, actually. I’d say stream it, but having worked on helped I can’t watch people fumble with software.
Yeah, but this isn’t just that. I’d try to make it fun and entertaining. Absolutely understand the feeling though. :D Been there.

?
Yes. That’s a video I did yesterday that gave me the idea for this. Livestreaming attempting to set up the software, talking with the dev in chat, etc.
If you do this, would you be interested in installing and using my Nephele WebDAV server? The deduplicating server is particularly useful. As is the encryption+S3 setup.
I don’t know anything about it, but yeah. We can try for sure. I don’t even really know what WebDAV is, so we could go over that, install, then is there a way to demo it? Want to hit me up at my email womm@btfree.org please?
