    The fact that this wasn’t done in a “sensible” (using that term loosely) manner, say, limiting wage for people who are dependants, or even people under 18, shows that this is just a way to further kneecap the younger generations.

      It’s likely to fuck older workers, honestly. I’m sure as soon as people hit the age where they qualify for the higher minimum wage, they’ll find a way to drop them.

      It’s already so low, there is no reason to further limit the wage. It used to provide for a dignified life, 50 years ago, before they changed the cpi to understate it, while also not raising the minimum wage almost ever. Inflation adjusted is laughable, not that you all don’t believe it, all they need is a consensus of ivy league suits to tell you your buying power has never been higher. Who are you going to believe, history, or them? Them obviously.
