The other night I was up around midnight and spotted a cat frantically looking in one of my windows. The cat seemed well fed and groomed, so it looked like it belonged to someone. However being that it was so late at night and very cold out I figured it might be lost. I’ve seen more than one missing cat poster lately (none matching this cat), so with that in mind I opened my phone and took a few pics. When I moved towards the window the cat ran off into the dark.
I opened up a neighborhood app which I know is pretty active and posted the photo along with specifying the date, time, and approximate location the photo was taken, and writing that if someone recognized it as their cat they could contact me further. I figured it was about all I could do.
Since then I’ve gotten over a dozen replies on the post. Multiple useless “Oh cute cat” and “Ohh poor baby” comments. Some comments telling me to catch it despite me not having seen it again or having any traps. Posts telling me to post it on facebook (I don’t have facebook, so no not doing that). Not a single reply recognizing the cat, which was the sole reason for posting it.

Really? Let’s try, tell me my location without using my comment history (because it says)
