A “no work, no school, no shopping” blackout day of protest was kicked off by community leaders, faith leaders and labor unions on Friday in protest against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) surge in the state.
The “Day of Truth & Freedom” protest comes in the wake of the killing of Renee Good, the unarmed woman killed by a federal immigration officer in Minneapolis earlier this month.
Obama wasn’t in the habit of having unidentified, masked federal agents breaking into citizen’s house without warrants, then keeping them in concentration camps, where they die or maybe get arbitrarily deported. People aren’t complaining about illegal immigrants getting deported. It’s the weaponization if the federal government against citizens and the lack of due process, which is afforded to all individuals regardless of how they ended up in the US.
