I haven’t experienced any of that in a very long time. The movie going experience has shifted significantly over the past decade. Again, it’s not for everyone and some don’t find the entertainment worth the cost, which is fine. I’m just trying to point out that the stereotypical they’re experience isn’t what it used to be. Some people go and spend hundreds at casinos for fun, I’ll occasionally drop a couple of tenners to watch a good movie it the format it was designed to be viewed in. That’s maybe once or twice a year.

The theaters certainly are not for everyone, but I haven’t experienced your description of a theater in over 5 years. Everywhere I’ve been not has leather recliners and have been generally cleaner. It’s not cheap, but concessions aren’t a requirement and no home theater offers the same viewing between screen and sound like a theater. I think my local place is $15 for the ultra wide, heated leather, Atmos audio screenings. Not something to do all of the time, but the occasional late night watch of an adult rated film is a nice treat sometimes.

Flipping the candidate 4-5 months before the election is the dumbest fucking idea. Other than the obvious legal battles and terrible optics, the logistics of getting a unified candidate and get that information out to the public before the election is impossible.

I think I made it 15-20 min in last night. I heard one candidate stumble, sound old, but make a point. Not ideal or reassuring, but something. I heard the other candidate tell nothing but lies and speak with hostility at a 3rd grade level. No substance, just lies and attacks. It’s exactly what I expected, but I still had to go and hurt myself like that. I had to GTFO before I put my face through my monitor.

I had messaged my doctor’s office sometime in Aug last year, they said to call and schedule an apt with my doc. So I went to my physical some months later, December maybe, and they brought it up. I confirmed, we talked, and they said they would refer me to a local place that does screenings, but it would probably be a few months wait. A few months later I go in to my doctor for a shoulder injury, and followed up about having never received contact from that other place. They looked into it and the referral never got made and sent. Not ideal, but I’ve been at it for 30+ years so what’s another couple of months. It has also now been more than a few months and I still don’t have a call back.

I enjoy my doctor and the office, but I think it’s time to find a new doctor’s office.
