    This is the kind of thinking that helped me understand the difference between UK and US biscuits, why they are different, how they are different, and how biscuit means “twice cooked” and how after generations they are fundamentally both not biscuits.

    Biscuits were par cooked in a log/loaf and then sliced. Toast is closer to OG biscuits than whatever either country currently call biscuits.
