Definitely, but there should be systems in place like impeachment, no confidence votes, etc. in the US, Congress can impeach a president and remove them, but if they don’t do so, we-the-people don’t have legal recourse for removing members of Congress in the middle of their terms.
A lot of the advice angry Americans are getting right now is “just vote them out in the midterms”. This feels woefully insufficient
