The Buffalo Bills have agreed to promote offensive coordinator Joe Brady to head coach, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Brady is expected to sign a five-year deal, sources told Schefter.
Brady replaces Sean McDermott, who was fired last week after the Bills were eliminated by the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional round of the playoffs. McDermott had spent nine seasons as head coach in Buffalo.
Brady, 35, is coming off his second full season as Buffalo’s OC after taking over the role in an interim capacity during the 2023 season after Ken Dorsey was was fired.

I really like the idea that the Bills front office is just a single dude named Bill…
Their GM in the Jim Kelly era was named Bill
(Bill Polian didn’t draft Kelly, though: Kelly played a few years on the USFL and the Bills still had Kelly’s rights when the league folded)
That oughtta shake things up!
Oh, wait…I think Josh is the real GM here. There have been rumors going around that Allen and McDermott didn’t see eye to eye

Lol, I thought Allen wasn’t involved at all, but the article said he sat in on all the interviews. Maybe they should just have him be the OC?
He has an interesting history. He worked with Sean Payton and then coached at LSU when Joe Burrow was throwing 6-8 TD passes a game.
And then he went to the Panthers…. he coached Darnold and Mayfield when they shat the bed and rolled around in it in Carolina.
The guy has success when he has top tier Wide Receivers. Not sure if Buffalo has any of those.
Now comes the hard part of finding a DC and a GM.
