Unfortunately sports is too intertwined with big money. It’s unlikely to happen.
It must be tough to spend so long training, to get to a peak of your passion and then feel the pressure of not parting, not getting a shot at gold, because it clashes with ethics.
But I suppose the truth is to persue something like this in the first place you had to do a deal with corporate sponsorship so that’s that.
I am not trying to say years of training overrides ethics, just that it will be a tough choice for a lot, they are only human, trying to do something extraordinary. We continually tell people shoot for the stars.
Imagine the USA getting kicked out of the Olympics.
Not even the fucking Nazis got kicked out of the Olympics.

And they will again in two years
If American athletes have any self-respect, they’d sit out in protest.
