    Wrongful death… Man, they’re some twisted words to use as a stand-in for murder.

      It’s some US legal language that I never managed to understand. If I were to hypothesize a rationale, I would guess that in some cases death is unavoidable and even necessary, but in this case said death wasn’t.

        Wrongful death is a civil case where you are suing for damages. Murder is a criminal case requires someone like the attorney general to bring the charges against them.
