I had a Bluesky account at the hight of the twitter migration. At the time it seemed promising and their were a lot of cool tools, both first and third parties, some of them still exist
I had to delete my account because I was at a point where I was overwhelmed by the amount of account I had, but I just got back and have been heating and seeing that bluesky has lost a lot of followers
So my question, did most people go back Twitter? Or did they disperse to other social medias across the internet. And why did people leave in the first place?

Lemmy and Bluesky are the only social media I use. I’m not a prolific poster, though, just a commenter. But I’m on them about every day.
Twitter and Bluesky are not my favorite type though. I’m less into following individual people and much more into talking about things. I’m not into celebrity culture, though there are a few people I enjoy the posts of — mostly news and politics-related. I wish I could vote for Kat Abugazehah. I would never have heard that name if not for Bluesky.
We need more people like Kat running everywhere. But yes, if I could vote for her I would
I’ll second this. I might follow a subject, but I far prefer discussion of multiple facets of a subject with multiple people rather than following one person. I’m almost never a “fan” of an individual to the point of wanting to hear about or see what they do next. The hivemind tends to be far worse in a fandom than it does a more open forum.
