On Sunday morning, Border czar Tom Homan said elected officials in Minnesota “ought to be saying thank you” to the Trump administration for making the state safer.
“They were a sanctuary state,” Homan said on Fox & Friends. “Their county jails weren’t working with us across the state. So you know what? We fixed it.”
The remarks came after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and others criticized the Trump administration for its violent campaign against immigrants and the suppression of protesters in the days following Homan’s announcement that the federal government would end Operation Metro Surge.
“They left us with deep damage, generational trauma, economic ruin. They left us with many unanswered questions,” Gov. Walz said. “Where are our children? Where and what is the process of investigations into those who were responsible for the deaths of Renee and Alex?”

The thing that is really aggravating about a lot of this type of gaslighting is when some little grinning troll like Mikey Johnson sits there and says “the people voted for this” and so implication being that this is just maximum democracy and freedom, etc.
The truth is, even though we like to say a lot of racists did vote for this shit and are jerking off to this kind of thing, most Americans did NOT vote for this.
A lot of people voted for cheaper egg prices and/or thinking that Republicans do 'conomy better and want to ignore/downplay the racism that is right there. They definitely didn’t vote for this being one of the #1 things for the this administration to spend so much time and money on.
In addition to that, even if some majority did actively vote for this one issue, it doesn’t mean the rights of everyone else are immediately sacrificed. When they sit there with their aw-shucks attitude and suggest that’s the case, It’s almost like the cons don’t give a shit at all about the rule of law or the Constitution or freedom, etc…
