I'm joining OpenAI to work on bringing agents to everyone. OpenClaw will move to a foundation and stay open and independent.

For context, there is a BUNCH of potential issues with OpenClaw. This recently happened and then ARS used fake ai quotes of the author when publishing an article about it.

There have been actual issues already with it.

It was never billed as something everyone should just toy with though. Steinberger was pretty clear about that.

I think the heavy criticism should be saved for when “open” Ai releases so scrapped up version of this thing as something everyone should use but still has tons of vulnerabilities and privacy violations.

I read OpenClaw and for some reason hoped it was a new port of Claw.
