    You’re not seeing as much US produce rotting because less places are buying it now. Last winter we were still dealing with having to not choose US oranges, but this winter the grocers have found alternatives. I’ve had plenty of South African oranges and cantaloupe this winter.

      That’s fair I’ve seen a lot more non-US produce lately. But there is still a fuck-ton of it on the shelves. Apples and lettuce being two big offenders where I am. And…yams? Been dying for a goddamn yam for months but apparently only the US knows how to grow a damn yam.

      There are great Canadian greenhouse lettuce growers putting out awesome product now. I hope we can see those guys selling out while the $4.99 head of lettuce from Ameristan turns brown waiting for a buyer that never comes.

      Choices matter people. Every single one.
