    That’s a vague way of putting it, but I’m in basically the same boat. I got lucky with my job, and I don’t hate it, and I feel that I do help with things more than I don’t. I still struggle with the occasional rainy Monday, but not usually because of work. I guess that’s a pretty good way of describing it.

      imho it’s silly to get cosmic with the idea of a ‘good life.’

      Take two people who actually changed the world, Lincoln and Einstein.

      Neither one of them could have accomplished anything without thousands of people helping.

      Me being reasonably happy and knowing I’m not actively, directly hurting other people is about the best I can do.

      I give to charities and try to be active in the community, but realistically I am just another bozo on the bus, no greater or less than anyone else.
