    I didn’t assume you were speaking for yourself. I said “if.” If we’re going to talk about comprehension, let’s at least read the sentence accurately.

    Yes, party leadership deserves criticism. They mishandled the transition and limited the primary. That’s fair.

    But at the end of the day, voters still make choices. Pretending the outcome was inevitable or that both options were the same doesn’t remove agency. It just avoids responsibility.

    You can criticize the party and still acknowledge that refusing to act made things worse. Both can be true. Denying that doesn’t make it more principled. It just makes it convenient.
