Like fully a third of the population is into it, but the stigma is so strong that the people who will actually show up are a tiny rounding error, and TBH all kind of cracked.
Hard disagree on the IRL community being tiny and weird. Probably the most welcoming environment I’ve ever seen, where consent is the de facto standard.

Yeah, but how much drama and weird cliquishness is there? And it’s just not large; you tend to run into the same people a lot.
