I’m not especially fussed about gasoline prices myself, but when you consider that Trump ran in significant part on isolationism and reducing prices — and Americans are disproportionately sensitive to gasoline prices — this is kind of heading about as hard as one possibly can in the opposite direction, if you consider multiple interventions abroad, tariffs driving up prices, and now the fuel supply cut.
If someone supported Trump based on those points, one imagines that they might not be entirely enthusiastic about the present state of affairs.
These are the highest fuel prices I have ever seen in my 53 years on this space rock.

Fuel cost impact is not “at the tank” but at the price of things that require transport. Think, food…and basically everything.
