Several current and former officials blame intense pressure from the White House.

Acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Todd Lyons has been hospitalized at least twice for stress-related issues as he has carried out Donald Trump’s aggressive immigration agenda — strain that has caused him to struggle to make key decisions for the agency, according to two current and two former administration officials.

During these episodes, the current and former officials said they saw Lyons break out into a full sweat, with his face turning deep red. They also attributed the source of the pressure to ramp up deportations to the White House and top adviser Stephen Miller, who yelled at Lyons during morning phone calls with administration officials, according to four people who were on the calls. Other officials disputed that Miller yelled at Lyons, with one saying the deputy chief of staff was merely “passionate.”

Miller didn’t respond to a request for comment. But the attempt to blame Miller is the latest example of continued infighting among administration figures over immigration policy — even after former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and some of her aides have departed the agency.

Seriously, have you ever see PeeWee Himmler in a rant? He fancies himself to be a Hitler-style orator, but he ALWAYS comes off as just a Screeching Weenie.

MAGAs are intimidated by him, but everybody else thinks he’s hilarious, in a “What fucking putz” kind of way. He has no authority or power beyond what Trump allows him as an advisor, so nobody really cares what he thinks except Trump, and MAGA. He never really tries to engage with Democrats, because he knows he would be humiliated in public, so he carefully stays in the MAGAspere. This, a lot of people don’t know who he is.

We have to change that, and make PeeWee Himmler one of the many) issues on the ballot in the Midterms. Put his photo on the TV screen with his most Nazi statements, and position him as Trump’s Wormtail, whispering poison into the demented old man’s ear. He may very well be the most repellent human on the planet (somebody has to be, and I submit it’s him), and to know him at all is to despise him for the frightened little Hitler he thinks he is.

You should have an option to insert an image at the top of the comment box entry if using the web, not idea if you are using an app. It usually looks like a couple mountains with a sun or moon over it like this.

Almost everything in lemmy is formatted in markdown, so for most tasks you can just look up “how to x in markdown.” For example, “how to embed an image in markdown” returns (among other things) this guide. That page also includes other guides if you care to browse.

If you’re uncertain whether you’re using correct syntax, there are many editors - both locally and remotely - where you can test before posting. I like this one. Obviously only do that with non sensitive information.

I looked at their markdown source and they have an exclamation mark at the very beginning before the square bracket.
