It’s such a fucking waste, honestly. I’d have loved a new Marathon game in the same vein as the original trilogy, but this is not that. Shit, I’d even take a remake of the original trilogy in this engine. But no, it’s more live service bullshit that nobody asked for.
It’s not even a fun take on the live service concept, it’s just tedious inventory management and menus, long walks where nothing happens then getting killed in like 4 seconds of finding an enemy.
I don’t see how it has anything to do with the original games. It’s like they found some IP in the basement and thought someone might like some generic slop
