Every financial institution will ask if you are a US citizen. Most will refuse to accept you as a customer because they CBA with the tax bullshit.
See if you can find a bank that will accept you now, so you are no scrambling when you get here.
Investment opportunities will be limited for the same reason. And most US financial institutions will either close or severely limit your account if they get the hint that you don’t live in the US.
Good to know I plan on getting an International bank account with HSBC since I will still be paid in USD from my employer.
