Sunny Some wind
More like 27, but that depends on how fast you are
As an ex-overweight I couldn’t believe how much colder the world got when I lost the surplus
That’s way too cold for shorts
Depends on how windy it is
For spring it’s anything above 15°, for autumn it’s anything over 17°.
If you’re a math teacher there is no minimum temperature required for wearing shorts.
Totally depends on what you’re comfortable with. I personally will wear shorts down to around 40°F (4.5°C).
San Francisco - “needs to be at least 75, because the temp is going to drop dramatically in 2 hours”
Minneapolis - “it’s above 40f. Time for a t-shirt and shorts.”
San Diego, either “shorts all the time” or “what are shorts?” I’m in the “what are shorts,” camp.
A long time ago, I lived in Maryland and a woman moved in with me from … I forget where, actually, but the west coast. I remember when she first got there we were out on my balcony and she was shivering in a sweater and sweatpants, while I was very comfortable in shorts and a T-shirt.
Acclimatization is real.
Really comes down to personal preference, as well as humidity.
In Australia that might be considered a bit cold for shorts, but definitely within acceptable range.
In spring, as soon as we hit upper 50’s I’m wearing shorts.
I don’t wear shorts if the daily maximum is going to be below 30°C. Way too cold with shorts.
Depends on wind conditions
And if it’s raining.
In which direction? Because if it’s somewhat warm but raining I’d be more likely to lean towards shorts since they’re easier to dry than long trousers.
You talking wet bulb or dry bulb bub?
Shorts are tge default at around 18C, and absolutely necessary at 25C+.
It’s long pants 100% of the time for me. The difference in temperature between shorts and long pants has always seemed negligible to me; but the sensation of wind hitting my leg hairs feels like I’m standing on an ant colony.
Other than swim trunks, I don’t even own a pair of shorts.
for me 15°C and up is shorts weather
