Paul McCartney’s official Reddit account seems to have been banned. The account, u/paulmccartney, had just dropped a set of photos and videos from the first night of his shows at the Fonda Theatre. It went straight into the r/PaulMcCartney subreddit. Then, not long after, the whole thing disappeared.

I got banned from about 15 subreddits I never even knew existed once by calling out a transphobic dogwhistle, and when I inquired about the bans, the mods insinuated I was a child molester and neo-nazi.

Reddit mods don’t need to follow any sort of logic.

And confidently asserting someone is a dick because they got banned from a subreddit is hilarious, and should probably prompt some self-reflection.

There sure are cases of injust behavior by power tripping mods. That being said just presuming guilt and malice is unfair to the volunteers taking care of reddit today.

The appropriate way to take care of Reddit is to shut it down, sell all its assets and donate the proceeds to blind dogs, imprison every paid member of staff, put their families into foster homes (if any of them aren’t incels), bulldoze their dwellings, salt their fields, and systematically delete anything online that they ever uploaded.

Then dunk the shareholders’ heads one by one in a bucket of horse piss, duration of dunking in proportion to the number of shares held.

I know it’s milder than they deserve, but you gotta start somewhere.
