I unironically re-read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH the other day for the first and only time since I was a young child. While the movie holds a larger mind-share in my head, unsurprisingly, the book has more nuance and depth. Honestly, it would make a good pre-history for a Mouse Guard like world after the collapse of human civilization (pick your apocalypse).
