Jailed Russian politician Alexei Navalny has died in a penal colony, the country's prison service says.

Well, this was only a matter of time but still happened sooner than I’d expected.

      The contrast couldn’t be more stark:

      Putin, by some accounts the world’s richest man, hid in a Moscow bunker while Navalny died for his beliefs that Russia could be better and work for her citizens.

      Putin sent a generation to die for his ego, while Navalny returned to Russia to die challenging that coward’s regime.
