“It’s an uncomfortable subject to most of the guys, so we don’t really discuss it too much. The process of the thing being made was never told to us. We were never told what it was. It was never supposed to be a Wu-Tang album. We were recording and being paid to do a certain amount of records by a guy whose name I don’t want to mention. He took all these verses—some of them were old verses—and put them altogether into a compilation of Wu-Tang songs and marketed it as a Wu-Tang album, and a single copy of a Wu-Tang album. We all had a problem with it because that’s not how it was described to us.”

  • I think the opinion (as bad as it is) is that if the warrant was good the judge thinks the exact same thing would have happened. So the fact that these assholes knowingly lied to get the warrant isn’t a “direct link”.

To me making that argument kind of signals that no-knock warrants shouldn’t be a thing at all if you accept that an innocent would die either way because it’s so fucked up…and on top of that the cops still clearly caused this by lying because this isn’t a case of good warrant vs bad warrant - this is a case of bad warrant vs no warrant and Breonna still being alive.

  • The problem for Trump is there is a third shadow candidate in the race called “did not vote” so it doesn’t really matter than his main base would vote for him regardless.

If he fakes Swift’s endorsement and she comes out and roasts him and fires up her base to vote, the amount of votes he gains by trickery will be really small while the amount of people Swift converts from not voting to voting against Trump will be larger.

And there’s actually some data to suggest Trump is losing part of his always-red base and the rats are abandoning a sinking ship at the moment as well.

  • He’s calling out Walz service history when really he has so much less service history than Walz. And as far as I can tell the “stolen valor” stuff is made up.

Walz retired before his unit received deployment orders so it wasn’t like he was evading a deployment. Walz was a sergeant major when he retired but upon retirement was downgraded to a master sergeant because he hadn’t completed all the sergeant major courses required within 3 years of his promotion.

So Republicans are saying he “stole valor” by claiming to retire as a sergeant major but to anyone whose been in the military (like me) this is really nothing like stolen valor…He did serve as a sergeant major and retire while a sergeant major but he is NOT a retired sergeant major. A distinction that’s obviously a bit confusing and normally nobody would care.
