Don’t bother. Lemmy is host to an irrational, angry mob. There’s plenty of good reasons to be angry but the mob is hyper focused on any form of machine learning because they can’t understand it, and that breeds fear, frustration and anger faster than the the easily understandable institutes of corruption actually enslaving them. AI is a big, easy target - it will continue to be hated until the generations that hate it die out. Same as happened prior with the Internet, phones, and even cars.

Although, there’s a FuckCars community, so maybe the mindset will cling on by adherents perpetuating their hate beyond their lifespans. Just like racism.

You should avoid the FuckAI community - they hate hearing that this application of the technology is wholly viable. To them, it’s only capable of creating crap, and to suggest otherwise is to be buried in a mountain of down votes. I was actually surprised you had a positive reaction, until I realized this is the Technology community.

I installed it on my Lenovo Legion Go, as a recommendation from Google Gemini after the fallout from Bazzite. It has gone well overall, with only a handful of issues (controllers not detected, SD card mounted as an SSD, screen not always turning on, Bluetooth headset connecting at low quality, WiFi dropping signal) that were all solved with a few minutes of querying AI and running the recommended commands in Konsole. Without AI, though, I’d have been lost.
