The FBI spied on trump as well as got caught lying about the Biden laptop scandal to help Biden win the 2020 campaign so… Would it be surprising if he directed Patel to fuck with the FBI on purpose?

Took him long enough.
Must… Not… Heil…
As far as I understand, trans people are still a protected class under other statutes on the UK, but basically just don’t count for any laws like “50% of company board members must be women to receive this tax break”.
Which, idk, seems reasonable to me.
It threw off everybody’s bullshit calibration when the FBI announced in 2020 that the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, which included implications of Joe Biden taking foreign bribe money, was “Russian Disinformation”.
They also ordered (technically only “asked nicely”) Facebook and Twitter to engage in censorship campaigns based on this.
Later, after helping Biden win the election, they admitted that the laptop was real and not a Russian psyop as publicly claimed. Internal text messages revealed even later prove that while the FBI may have thought the laptop was not real at first, they did not believe it was a Russian plant, in other words, they lied.
So stuff like that might be why Republicans tend to believe “Russian Misinformation”.
More like Facebook worked overtime to tip the 2020 election towards Biden and Trump is still mad about it.
Well, FOIA requests revealed Facebook was extremely cooperative with both enacting government censorship requests, and keeping them secret, when those same censorship requests would have been utterly illegal if they were an official order, so…
Some deal like “You give us control over information and we leave your monopoly alone”, even unspoken, seems to be the gist of it.
I think in the west, we mostly only hear from the government, and not regular people because they don’t speak English and aren’t on western websites. Regular people probably have a lot of the same concerns we do. Of course, the government wants to increase total productivity and don’t care if it causes an upset for regular people.
Keep in mind, one example of “more productive” to the Chinese is passing AI generated bullshit through as peer reviewed academic articles, like nobody is gonna notice the rat with a dick larger than its own body.
So I’d say people who care about ethics, or academic integrity, or whatever, still have something to worry about. China just doesn’t care.
Reddit is still awful, it just drives me nuts to see lefties think theyre the secret resistance on an evil conservative site when they’re actually the brownshirts who are allowed by the admins (usually- this one went over the line) to do crimes without consequence.
Federal and it was specific death threats with names of course that wasn’t going to fly lmao
Just as a reminder, r/whitepeopletwitter was suspended for 72 hours over a post calling to specifically dox and murder a list of federal officials’ names.
It took years for r/chapotraphouse to be banned for pushing calls for violence against police to the front page repeatedly.
It took one comment deep in a comment chain from a new account vaguely suggesting violence against police to get r/the_donald banned permanently. This was shortly before BLM started and similar comments would become commonplace all over reddit.
People who’ve been paying any attention at all know what’s up.
Imagine comparing the situation in the united States, where women have favorable hiring and scholarship status, to the Taliban state where women are literally property and not allowed to get a job or education under threat of death. Like actual death, not someone online telling you something rude.
Discord got big in online gaming because they offered a VOIP and text chat browser cliemt. Just copy or type the short link and you’re in in a minute. They also did free hosting which was huge.
Compared to Teamspeak or Ventrilo, literally just eliminating the steps of downloading a client, installing it, and typing in an IP address caused them to explode overnight. Also you could “host” without changing router settings (most kids/students have to ask their parents or jump through hoops for this).
Technically there was stuff like Skype but that never had the convenient team speak style chat rooms to drop in and out of freely.
Within months of suddenly getting popular, discord had a huge userbase that everybody was using already, and that momentum got us to the point where in some aspects its even replacing the role of wiki’s and forums even though its terrible at it.
It didn’t work.
