When I played the Dishonored series I had massive Thief vibes, I loved it! I looted everything I killed no one, and it felt like good old times.
Reminds me, time to play them again!

Perfect time to release it on gog? Pretty please??

It’s a fun game with a huge open world, but it’s not a classic per se. It’s just nice to see a dead game running again.
If Ubisoft had done this from the start… But it brought awareness to the topic, so in the end it’s good that they stayed true to their philosophy (of being dicks).

If you have a PC or Laptop there is a good chance you could get it running, the game is pretty “old” and doesn’t scream for a high end gaming rig. Maybe that would be an option.

Fair, but I wanted to play it again and had been living under a rock, who knows who else missed this.
And the deactivation of this game started the StopKillingGames campaign (which stays important regardless), there might be at least of few like me out there.
And I really liked that! In this story I want to add, not irl of course!

I’ll wait. Experience shows that the next dick move will come soon after.
I have no problem at this point to wait another two or three years.

I liked GTA V, but after finishing it I drove around for a few hours and the never touched it again. I’m not really sure why.
I still go back to Vice City and San Andreas, somehow these worlds are just more fun. But like I said, I’m not sure why…
The graphics in 5 are great, the sound is great, but something is missing…

This movie still looks stunning!!
Also 2010, just beautiful!!

My plan was to buy it on release, but the moment I read they would release clans as DLC the game was dead to me.
I’ll check back in a year or two. Maybe then when everything is in one package.

That’s all beyond my abilities :)
My main problem was just a printer. I did find a driver for Mint, and it worked flawlessly for a few days. And suddenly it stoped printing again. I tried to configure the driver, I uninstalled and reinstalled, it just does not work anymore. Getting help is difficult online because everyone seems to think much knowledge is a given, and the hints got more and more complicated until I just had no idea what I was doing. Reading up on the commands used got more and more overwhelming and intimidating, so I, at some point, just gave up. Same with gaming, if a game runs it’s absolutely fine, but when it does not it’s tough to find easy to understand documentation how to fix it.
I won’t give up, but I reinstalled Windows 11 on my main PC again. Mint runs on my laptop that I use occasionally. Linux has come a long way, and it’s amazing how the usability improved over the years, but, at least for me, it’s not quite there yet. But until Windows 12 comes out I’m pretty sure it will improve much further, until then Win11 has to do. My first step is taken.

Thank god I’m not the only one. I was convinced it was me! i used Mint for two months, and when everything works it’s good, but the second you encounter a problem it becomes a nightmare.

1 was advertised as a spiritual successor of System Shock 2, but it only got the atmosphere right. It was just another shooter which disappointed me. 2 was the same more or less. 3 had a fascinating story, but it was still just a shooter. Maybe 4th time will become what I crave for, another immersive sim!

Like? I love it!!

Tenet. I got the story the first time, but there are so many little details in it…

And I thought about one month ago all hope was lost.
And here we are. Nothing guaranteed, but hope restored!

He’s falling out of a window soon enough.

Racism? Fuck that. The annoying wise kid and the constantly screaming woman killed that movie!
Sucks for retro systems. Without the steam client you can’t install, for example, Zanzarrah, which is pretty hard to get running on a modern PC, but runs flawlessly on a XP machine. What to do? Download illegal copies?
Steam should maintain at least legacy systems or make the installer available for download.
