Ahh, what about a cross-section of a deepdish? Show the world the sexy bits.
I dunno, might create some controversy. What are the toppings?
Indeed, you are not wrong. Such is the state of many, many things.
I admit it’s easy enough to say, “let’s get rid of it”, but without a solution it’s meaningless to say and is just an ideology.
oh shit, I did not even consider that could happen. I uh… need to go tear down an instance I don’t really use anymore.
I don’t think the SPF / DKIM / DMARC stuff is overly complex nor the core of the problem.
It’s not the core of the issue, but the average joe that is a hobbyist self-hoster it will be.
IMO, the core issue is that there is no standard whatsoever. People just do whatever the hell they want with these records, pretty much. Microsoft and Google do it differently than each other, even.
The only solution for me is that we move on from email as a society.
Mmm. I like your veracity.
Unfortunately this has been going on few several months now. YT is actively blocking IPs if they think they are from data centers, VPNs, or proxies.
They’ve also been doing some under the hood cryptographic changes that cause breakages from time to time in Invidious (the backend for FreeTube)
I guess they didn’t require their HR team to have good written communication skills.

I’m always backing up with SyncThing in realtime, but every week I do an off-site type of tarball backup that isn’t within the SyncThing setup.
This is exactly why I think that this thought of a single day of “no spending” is complete and utter bullshit. It’s a stop-gap that allows the elites to plan and workaround, plus it placates the complacent to get them back into their usual spending habits the very next day.
Doing a single day is essentially just punishing a corporation with a fine, which recent history shows is completely and utterly useless.
No, I am not OK with any of that. The time for being nice was over more than a decade ago. People that don’t see this are only enabling the oligarchies to continue to grow.
To those that think I’m wrong about Feb 28th: Go ahead and be complacent, but you better stop complaining about how bad fascists are if you can’t be bothered to change your habits and take away their power in the only way we can short of murder. Why wait until the 28th, and why stop on Mar 1st?
I find it funny that evangelicals outwardly embrace everything the bible says they shouldn’t.
Oh wait, no, I’m just really fucking depressed to the point of insanity.
I mean, most deodorants have heavy metals and aspartame in them. He’s 50% correct in this decision.
Now he just needs to gain some empathy for others and start using something like a Mineral Deodorant Block
They’re cheaper, last 50x as long as normal deodorant sticks, and only need to be applied once generally, even if you sweat during the day.
just for future reference (click the source button to see how I embedded your image)

Yea, if you are not willing to be meticulous about learning/understanding all the DNS stuff (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), and plan to host this at home, don’t.
I ran this same system for a very long time on a VPS and had no problems with blacklists, but I’m also a career systems engineer that maintained enterprise systems and exchange servers.
Also note how I am speaking of MIAB in the past tense…
I think the better option is to try and avoid email as much as you can, just like SMS. Outdated tech and not secure. At that point, any ol’ existing email service is good enough.
They fired the devs, not marketing /s
I grew up Christian, and denounced it all at age 15 for atheism. Later, I ended up becoming very spiritual (but not religious, more like Taoist/Buddhist). That’s when I started to realize there are nuances like this.
Admittedly, I almost did write down Christian, but I changed it 'cause of exactly what you say. It isn’t fair to the actual Christ-like that exist out there, and it’s not only Christian denominations behaving this way.
It sucks that religion in general is being used by the vile controllers to manipulate, and I wish there were more folks like you that actually questioned things and lifted the veil for themselves. Seems to me that, at least southern baptists, are practically trained to never question authority and always take information at face value if the person giving that information simply claims they are Christian. Same people believe that you should keep sex and drug information from your children, instead of preparing them for the good and bad of each they may encounter in the world.
I am heartbroken and ashamed at how many people I once thought good and decent, who have fallen for this lie and follow such a disgraceful monster.
Yea… it especially sucks when its your parents. We used to do fun things together, now I have to hide everything about who I am.
They retained a large portion of their staff and are still headquartered in Toronto, though.
