That’s so relatable, though the schools I’ve been to didn’t have swings so I settled for just sitting in random patches of grass or just playing with my own imagination if the mood hit some days.
What I don’t miss are channels that put on Episode-marathons showing back-to-back episodes of a series. The multi-part episodes either air in the wrong sequence, or they don’t play those part-episodes at all.
Gotta love seeing a 3-part episodes with episode 3/3 to start, 1/3 comes next and 2/3 couldn’t make the cut in a 2+hr episode marithon.
To be fair, at least with a lot of games I play, the task is usually persistently displayed on screen and there’s either some type/combo of guided navigation, quest marker or glowing thing highlighting the thing you need to do/interact with.
Then again, I still get distracted with side quests/shiny things but much easier to get back on task when the information and optional guidance is right there
