Yeah adblock plus said the same thing. A lot of companies have said the same thing. It always comes down to greed
Ah I’ll clarify that I set mine up next to the system drive in proxmox, through the proxmox zfs helper program. There was probably something in there that set up settings in a weird way
No idea why you’re getting downvoted, it’s absolutely correct and it’s called out in the official proxmox docs and forums. Proxmox logs and journals directly to the zfs array regularly, to the point of drive destroying amounts of writes.
I did on proxmox. One thing I didn’t know about ZFS, it has a lot of random writes, I believe logs and journaling. I killed 6 SSDs in 6 months. It’s a great system - but consumer SSDs can’t handle it.
Okay, I’m definitely not defending them because they’ve been annoying me a lot lately, but I personally did disagree with this bill.
Essentially it made it a pay-to-enter contest for AI, where the bar for entry was that you had to be a mega-tech-company to get to play with AI. Because we all trust Google and Facebook to play nicely. So startups wouldn’t be allowed to train AI models (more or less, wording is vague), but big tech is “trusted” to uphold the moral standards and can do so. So, yeah, glad the bill was vetoed.
We do need regulation, but that one was just non-competetive bullshit.
From my understanding, I think you’re right, it’s some hybrid between single docker containers and just running k8s. If you’re nearing the point where you need to start distributing your containers, personally you might as well just learn kubernetes. It’s a massive learning curve, but frankly it’s still the best option.
+1 for the Bungie Era Halo franchises, IMO they have one of the best stories, and they honestly all hold up well. Plus you have so much that you can burn through with friends, and it has such deep lore you’ll be chatting for hours.
1, 2, 3, ODST, and Reach are all great for this. 1 and 2 support 2 players. 3, ODST, and Reach support 4 players
You can’t spare a square?!
I’ll say DA2 and Dragon Age Inquisition both have story modes, where combat definitely takes a backseat - way more so than Origins. The story only gets better too, and with DA4 coming out next month…
We have a responsibility to protect Reddit and ensure its long-term health, and we cannot allow actions that deliberately cause harm.
Truly, a harm for the platform when the moderators of /r/assesgonewild take their subreddit private for a week in protest. So far up their asses.
Read: “Our users got so pissed at us that it jeopardized our IPO. Now it could actually effect something like our stock price, so fuck 'em”. Seriously people, just leave
Yeah it’s one of those things that in theory it could make sense, it could be. However since we are humans, there does not exist any way that would not be morally abhorrent to some group of people. There’s zero way that in doing it this way wouldn’t destroy x group of people. And that’s why it can never be done. Eugenics is just too close to genocide.
I use Bazzite (which is steam now but community maintained for more PCs) for my htpc and PopOS for my main PC, both play every game I can throw at it. Maybe it’s time to try it out. I started with a windows dual boot and found myself using it less and less, until just a couple months ago I deleted windows completely
Well you definitely are breeding a welcoming culture here.
Exactly. They’re right, but it’s just a way to not feel guilty about driving a gas guzzler or using a gas furnace. No the corporations are more guilty, but that doesn’t make you innocent for just shifting the blame, the same tactic they did. We ALL need to change our ways.
Like I’m all for that we need to hold a fire under corporations. But we also need to change too. Just because they do like, 70% of it doesn’t mean we’re off the hook. We’re buying those products that they pollute for. We drive the cars that are polluting. We buy the cheap clothes that they shamelessly pollute. We each have to change.
The idea is that even if you’re using pirates windows, you’re still in the windows ecosystem, you’ll be more likely to pay Microsoft for other things. So in a weird way, yeah you didn’t pay for windows, but you also didn’t buy an Apple either, and now you’re using windows apps and programs.
Get a good quality set of earplugs. I got some Hearprotek ones and I don’t know what voodoo they have, but I hear the artist crystal clear and can’t hear any crowd noise. Not the people behind me, not my partner right next to me, none of that. But I can hear every note Crystal clear. Oh and my ears are happier at the end of the concert too
oh they’re full on corpo now it sounds like, which is too bad. They should have gone the proton route and go full non-profit org controlled, but here we are.
