For me, it may be that the toilet paper roll needs to have the open end away from the wall. I don’t want to reach under the roll to take a piece! That’s ludicrous!
That or my recent addiction to correcting people when they use “less” when they should use “fewer”
TP roll end goes over, not under.

I keep my roll of tp in the sink. I pick the whole thing up each time I use it.

Well, seems consistent with the kind of person that doesn’t wash their hands. So, I guess no worry about the roll getting wet.
Probably meant under the sink cabinet or on the cabinet itself.
