Summary

Following Donald Trump’s election victory, women are experiencing a surge in misogynistic harassment online, with phrases like “your body, my choice” trending as men taunt women about reproductive rights.

The phrase, co-opted from feminist slogans, reflects heightened hostility, with reports of threats on platforms like TikTok and X/Twitter.

This backlash arises as Trump’s administration, alongside VP-elect JD Vance, raises concerns about potential federal restrictions on abortion.

Even without a federal ban, existing state laws have already limited access to reproductive care, contraception, and increased maternal health risks.

The fact these losers (misogynists) don’t even have shame in what they’re saying and are not afraid of the repercussions, this could have on their personal/work lives, by saying all this fucked up shit, just makes it even awful tbh. There is really no justice.

I am so surprised. Who could have possibly foreseen that the party of grab em by the pussy, whether women like it or not, and project 2025 would be hostile and antagonistic towards women.

    Absolutely shocked and flabbergasted.

anybody ever notice how republicans talk about all the hope and positivity at trump rallies?

    Curious right?

The answer is simple, it’s the only place they feel those two emotions, they literally do not experience it anywhere else, it’s a cult.

Im sure some of this is real. But i wonder how much of this is actually foreign state actors. We have a bunch of countries working overtime trying to destabilize the U.S. right now.

I think we should absolutely consider foreign actors as the likely seed for some of these flashy, rage-bait stories. Russia’s primary goal since 2015 has been to keep us from trusting one another, and I expect them to ramp up messaging to leftist groups over the next few months. We’re uncertain, isolated, and afraid, and that makes us likely targets for cultural wedge disinformation.

Points from Foundations for Geopolitics (basically the current russian playbook)

In the Americas, United States, and Canada:

Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States and Canada to fuel instability and separatism against neoliberal globalist Western hegemony, such as, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists" to create severe backlash against the rotten political state of affairs in the current present-day system of the United States and Canada. Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social, and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics".[9]
The Eurasian Project could be expanded to Central and South America.[9]

I’m definitely still somewhat in denial, starting from about 2015. Most of this can’t be real, right? My fellow Americans can’t really want this, can they? I understand Trump likes attention and running a sweet scam, but he can’t actually want to be president, right?

Makes no difference to the women being targeted, and is still the direct result of a Trump win. Give the real magas 30 more seconds to realize they’ve just witnessed the birth of Let’s Go Brandon 2.0 and they’ll dwarf the number of state actors anyhow.

Yes, because Americans are idiots who think that they have to vote for someone they like rather than STOP A FASCIST DICTATOR.

A few of the guys (Americans) I game with called it “A good result.” All I could respond with was a heavy sigh.

At least they haven’t been spouting the usual mysogynistic BS in my presence, unlike my last group. They were outright partying, and they aren’t even American!

I’ve wanted to cry since Wednesday morning but it’s just not coming out. I’m just too numb. If I was around people like that though, I might have been able to find somewhere to go cry.

FS, I’m so sorry, I’m not trying to be an absolute dick here though it will sound like it.

I saw this coming miles away, hence sending my family to Europe.

I desperately hoped I was wrong (and Kamala taking over made me dare to dream), but I knew the worst bits of my country too well.

I really fucking wish I had a better plan right now, this is like the end scene of Empire, but with so much less hope. :(

Am I crazy, or did we feel less helpless the first time around?

Yeah, same, I’ve been largely numb and cold, more angry than scared or wanting to cry, but it wouldn’t be immediately apparent when you talk to me in person (not that I let anyone get close enough to do that these days). Part of it is that we’ve been through it before—last time, he was still an unknown quantity, a question mark. However, we have more than an inkling as to what sort of inhuman shit to expect this time around, so we best spend some time getting prepared.

Honestly, avoiding sex seems like a good strategy. Even as a man, I’d fucking hate impregnating someone just to have them die in my arms in a fucking parking lot. Fuck MAGA! You people are the death of America!
