Millions across the country will discover just how much their plans will cost when open enrollment for Affordable Care Act insurance plans begins on Nov. 1.
All you’d be saying for her wet-noodle policies is “at least it’s not Trump!”
Yes, but we’d be stressing the point that the better of two options is the one that prevailed. The onus is on the losers to provide a better and more appealing candidate next time. It’s like natural selection.
In Canada, we chose the least-worse option. It’s not a great option, but it’s far better than the worst. We’re hoping to see more support for an even better option.
People lost their minds, there is not going to be a perfect candidate, this is not a perfect world, shit is fucked up all over the place the best you can do it make it slightly less fucked up. You can’t fix everything at once and sorry the two party system is here to stay for a while it seems so suck it up and be the change you want.
Also so crazy that this vote basically hinged on a holy war that’s been going on thousands of years. They have to work it out. I’m going to vote in the interest of the people who live in the country, at present, who are hurting.
You have no principals, if you did, you’d oppose those directly in opposition of your principals.
Instead you call evil imperfect because it doesn’t harm you and yours. You’re part of the problem, you’re why the Democrats feel comfortable running a campaign to the right of GWB’s, 20 more years and you’d be voting for everything Trump is doing today and calling it imperfect.
What’s looney tunes about having principals and not supporting those who oppose them?
Do you have something to actually say in response, or are you simply satisfied with calling it crazy?
Do you disagree that Kamala Harris was further to the right of GWB on trade? On asylum and border crosses? On energy? Calling as a “left candidate” for the “most lethal military” to big applause?
Do you disagree that the Democrats are further right than 20 years ago? The shift to bootlicking and police worshiping? Do you not see what they actually fund and vote for in between using minorites in rhetoric about human rights and equality? Did you miss how they completely moved on from roe v wade?
If you have leftist principals, you don’t support candidates who directly oppose them, just because the other candidate opposes them more. Prop up your own candidate who supports your principals even if they have no chance at winning, because it’s crucial to keep your principals in the conversation. Once they’re out of the conversation, good luck getting the masses thinking about them again.
This is what I don’t understand. Do people not factor the consequences of giving the orange buffoon power again and the impact that choice has on their own country, economy and system of government, nevermind what is happening half a world away?
I had a super progressive friend throw her vote away because of a war happening across the globe that’s been going on for thousands of years. Kamala supported Israel and on top of that, “she’s a cop.”
Probably expected the gaza war to end the first day trump was in office too…
But no, progressives aren’t necessarily the entire answer either, as other forum members hope. Nothing against AOC or Bernie (I think they’re great). Vote by policy and solutions, not personality or affiliation.
That’s the point. Make you poor and unable to choose. Good thing Kamala didn’t win though, we really lucked out avoiding “business as usual” bullshit.
If Kamala won, you wouldn’t be upset even though the working class is still losing.
All you’d be saying for her wet-noodle policies is “at least it’s not Trump!”
You people really need to stop pretending that Kamala’s victory would be your victory. They’re all victories for the ruling class.

This is what will give trump another term
Exactly this right here - the perfect is the enemy of the good

What a weird response. Just straight up looney tunes

This is too emotional - blue no matter who we’ve got to fix this shit looney tunes. Voting Blue is the start
If someone wanted to split the Blue vote their comments would read exactly as yours
I mean, you’re the moron who thinks that a candidate who supports the working class is ‘perfect.’

People are tired of falling in line for a party that doesn’t support them.
It’s an easy fix, just start nominating progressive candidates.
The only issue is that upper middle class white folks will have to pay more in taxes, so they’d rather have Trump.
It’s all about the money, and money brings out the worst in people.
