The tactic the Dems have been using since I was able to vote has been “We’re not AS bad as them so vote for us” and it worked for a short time. This just shows they’re the same side of the same coin to me, just different in text.

Of course. It’s Gaza that cost her votes and not how she’s a corporate puppet just looking out for her donors.

Dems were to chickenshit to investigate the voter machines that were rigged by musk, and other gop alighned entities, they are totally complicit in the current regime, if its not obvious.

We needed a report to tell us that? Well, maybe the DNC did. Everyone else kinda always thought supporting genocide was a shit idea and a bad way to win an election.

It’s a hard pill to swallow that people who claim to care about war would choose more war over less war. It’s basically a report that says “6 million people couldn’t pass a third grade level competency test with months of prep time”.

“Less war” like what we saw happening in Gaza between October '23 and January '25? You make this claim as if we can’t examine the very recent past when her predecessor and former running mate was in charge and should instead rely on feelings and faith to convince ourselves that the thing we watched happen for 15 months would never happen under a Democratic leadership.

    • Hamid Bendaas, a spokesperson for the IMEU Policy Project, said that during the meeting “the DNC shared with us that their own data also found that policy was, in their words, a ‘net-negative’ in the 2024 election.” Two other senior aides at the pro-Palestinian organization also said the DNC had drawn that conclusion.
    • Axios independently verified that Democratic officials conducting the autopsy believed the issue harmed the party’s standing with some voters.

The intrigue: The IMEU Policy Project is now accusing the DNC of withholding its report in part because of its findings on Israel.

    • DNC spokesperson Kendall Witmer denied that.
    • When DNC officials announced last year that they wouldn’t release the audit, they said it was because they didn’t want the report to distract from the work of winning elections.

Remember this the next time someone tries to lecture you on why your primary candidate is simply unelectable.

I mean, they could have checked out any online leftist space for about a year before the election. God knows I had to leave practically all of them because I was sick to death of all the “I’m not voting for Kamala over Gaza” comments. Note that I’m not American before you lecture me over who I should or shouldn’t have voted for.

Maybe they thought it was all bluster and that leftists wouldn’t actually be that stupid, but apparently we are.

The time to demand better is literally any other time than when you get to choose between fetid neoliberalism and full throated fascism. The fact that the DNC fucked us all by, among other things, not having a primary doesn’t change the fact that Harris would have been preferable, even though she sucks.

I’ve been told by someone in a similar moral position you can’t criticize Democrats during the election then afterwards because they’re building up to the next one. Make that make sense.

That is, pardon my language, fucking stupid. We do deserve better from the Democrats, my only stance here is if it keeps someone from voting in the general election they’re cutting off their nose to spite their face.

It is, but it’s not an isolated case. There’s supporters who pretty much hold the Dems on a pedestal and will shout you down to make you not want to vote for them.

Idk what you want from me. I don’t like those people, I’m just really tired of living in fascism and don’t like the idea of revolution. Not accusing you of doing this here but the flip side of this is that people in these discussions tend to treat me like I’m the king of the Democrats and am personally responsible for them running shitty candidates. Unfortunately I’m just some guy who thinks you have to play it as it lies. Like, in the context of a general election, where you actually do have two defined choices, what does “demanding better” actually mean? I can see I’m rambling now so I’m gonna stop. I gotta go to work anyway but this shit is just so frustrating to me.

Well let that be a lesson for the world leftists : you can’t ignore Gaza. Sudan, Yemen, atrocious wars and armies terrorism on population, they aren’t less or more important. But Gaza is colonialism at its worst : modern, sponsored, lying, covering-up, and so on. You can’t stand for humanism if you don’t support the Gazan people, or if you sell weapons, send cheers or do not step up against netanyahu’s government

Whether it’s missing the courage, being blackmailed or bribed, or hand-tied because of past-accointances but Kamala never did the right thing for the Palestinian people, and beside the fate of Gazan, the price to pay for such inaction is the world’s rapid rise of a renewed, more strenghtful, and shameless fascism.

Maybe a platform that helps actual people that doesn’t agree with a genocidal country. Instead of just saying “We aren’t as bad as the other guy” like it’s some vast gulf of difference. You need to realize that Dems are paid and support people who are also highly fascist. We need people to stand up to those with wealth instead of being subservient to them.

Look what they did to Madami who was just running as a mayoral candidate. Truth be told being mayor of New York City is like being governor of most fly over states but still, the point remains, when a socialist and progress is on the horizon, they’ll let the other side win to prevent it.
