yes people uttering antisemitic “attacks” when they disagree with Israel’s genocide or portlanders wearing inflatable frog or trex suits means we need a national QRF to deloy the military against civilians. I wonder where he is getting all the money to do these useless nonsense things? It cant be cheap.

If you have to use military force to quell civil unrest in your own country, I think you have a problem.

      It’s more:

Starve, or we’ll tell you to beat each other!

It’s why it’s so stupid he’s been fucking with the NG so much and deploying them for bullshit but not long enough for benefits to kick in.

He imagines jackbooted storm troopers cracking heads at a moments notice…

He’s going to get people pissed off they’re there, agreeing more with protestors than their commanders, and since they can’t carry guns, they’re going to do everything possible to de-escalate. And all of their training up till this program has been for actual de-escalation.

And at best taking a couple days to show up anywhere, most likely weeks.

There’s no scenario this works out how trump wants.

I think ATCs would selectively work. Namely, to transport Allied ReUnion troops to where they need to go, while botching or denying service to the Neo Confederate Axis.

One side wants to pay federal workers and be boring, the other abuses them.

It’s not really optimism. Time is a very limiting factor. Numbers are another.

The United States has a tooth to tail ratio of 17%. Every combat unit has about 5 support units. So even though the US has a Military person per capita of about 5 to 1000, they really only have less than 1 combat unit per 1000 people.

They are outnumbered. They are out gunned. They are out maneuvered. It takes 5-6 hours to travel by plane from Canada to Florida. Moving thousands of troops is much longer.

They only have ONE weapon right now. Fear. Intimidation. Shows of force. That won’t win in the long term.

Lots of things can happen, a few of which would actually be good things.

We need to look for those things early, to try and help our slim odds of improving things.

It seems odd that no-one in the military has decided these clowns should piss off yet given how they are treating veterans. Everyone currently in the military will one day be a veteran, the country is basically saying that on retirement day it’ll be all ”thanks for your service, now go fuck yourself". You’d think with that in mind they’d be taking the first potential constitutional crisis and marching on the capital to take some heads.

This is all that so when Trump doesn’t leave office, they have conditioned the population to expect the military to be there to shut them up.

Because of… the peaceful No Kings marches!? They’re offended that millions of Americans reject sliding into fascism? Or because of the future starving people because Republicans chose to stop the SNAP food benefits that have already been approved and funded? With the GOP, the cruelty is the point…

My best guess? The next time there’s a “No Kings” protest, they’ll use plainclothes plants to instigate violence and use these units to crack in everyone’s skulls. For this reason, I think that peaceful protests need to be diligent about watching out for such instigators to the point of restraining them ourselves.

Even if you’re in favor of riots, helping these false flag Nazis will be a terrible idea. In all cases you must give them exactly the opposite of what they want, and what they want is to crackdown on a scale we’ve never seen before. Center protests on the failing economy and rising poverty and let how they attack you say everything you need to about the government.

its actually easy to spot a plaincloths, in s store setting to. they often wear jeans, and act very shady like a shoplifter would. plus you might able to see thier handgun, cuffs. and lets not forget sunglasses to hide thier face. also the fact they dress very differently from a protestor too.

I think the formal creation of Rainbow Panthers would be helpful. They are the defiant wing of the protest movement, and by formalizing their existence, it becomes possible for them to vet and deal with weird instigators.

We want two Spiderman pointing at Venom, and agreeing to deal with the imposter.

there have been agitators in BLM protests in the past, and i would imagine there have been some in the kings protest. the ones were often done by right wing influencers, like NGO and others.

Ok Pete, the biggest national security the US faces is people starving, getting kicked out of housing situations and losing access to healthcare they can afford.

Can we deploy the National Guard to feed people and administer healthcare? If not, why not? What else would this organization need to be focused MORE on?

How about we deploy the National Guard to build affordable housing? If we can’t do that, why can’t we do that? Do you not consider the housing situation in the US a crisis? If you do not believe there is a housing affordability crisis in the US can you please stare straight into the camera and repeat that assertion so we can clip it and raise awareness that you are an enemy of the US people?

Oh, thank God. As long as it’s Hegseth setting it up we’ll be fine. Just make sure we schedule the revolution for sometime near last call and he’ll drunkenly send the troops to the wrong place.
