Fairly sure this was predicted months ago, with the triggering event being the recent elections that were swept by the dems. If a few Republican House members resign then the Democrats take the majority. Democrats can take out Trump and do whatever else they want to help people. Meanwhile the former House members can sit on the sidelines and blame Democrats (specifically for non-Trump things).
But what about the Senate? Basically the hope is that everyone will forget what you’ve done. Look at the recent shutdown bill, the Senate Democrats who gave up everything aren’t up for reelection anytime soon. That thing they did 5 years ago? I don’t really remember what that was about.
