Are there usually 19 holes on golf courses? I thought there were only 18.
Officially there are 18 holes on a standard course. The 19th hole is slang, referring to the bar players go to after finishing a game. I’m not a golfer, but I’ve visited clubs where the club bar was named “the 19th Hole.”
