There’s still the option that it was a faked death. That much wealth and power, if it could be done, that’s who and when it would be done. Who benefits from him being alive? His assets were seized so it’s not like he could plan his own escape. The evidence was also already seized so it’s not like he could keep evidence hidden. Most of his contact would be gone on the account him supposed to be dead. What would make him so important to keep him alive? I totally am with you. However, there is definitely quite a range in the theories. And it’s probably a bit naive to always fall for the narratives handed down by suspect elites on any given matter, some of them better known as “coincidence theories”.
Some “theories” later turned out to be true. It’s quite a distance between the findings of the Church Committee, for example, or what came out of Iran/Contra, or the Pentagon Papers, or the Panama Papers, as contrasted with rando nonsense like “Nazis built bases on the moon”.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to thread that needle I guess.
